Welcome to Mud Story, an emerging eco-farming community nestled in groves of organic coconut trees in the countryside of Mysore, Karnataka, the historic birthplace and cultural heart of modern yoga. Join Sandi and friends in this forest sanctuary for immersive weekend, one week, and two week programs designed to restore and awaken your body, mind, and spirit with Mud Story Retreats.


Programs include:

  • Traditional Mysore Ashtanga Yoga classes, honoring the local lineage of Sri T. Krishnamacharya and the Jois family, open to all levels from beginner to advanced

  • Daily Meditation, Restorative Yoga, Chanting, Yoga Philosophy, and Satsang

  • Creative Workshops in sustainable and traditional arts: Natural Dyeing with Color Ashram, Pottery, Creative Writing, Astrocartography, Vedic Astrology, Ayurvedic Cooking, Plant-based Nutrition, Indian Classical Music, and Performing Arts

  • Free Time at the farm (swimming in eco-pool, reading and relaxing amidst tropical fruit trees, optional tree planting and food harvesting)

  • Lovingly prepared meals with farm-fresh ingredients that come from the local soil and soul

  • New farmhouse accommodations that breathe with the land

  • Cultural & Wildlife excursions into the heritage city of Mysuru and to wildlife sanctuaries in the region
